Pretending it's still February, but in reality, half of March has already passed. It's definitely not because my mind was sluggish while using neovim that I wrote nothing in February🤣
📓 Timeline - A Record of Life#
Mainly just sorting out some small matters before, during, and after the Spring Festival holiday. I recorded so little last month that many things actually went unrecorded. Is this called seeing a leopard through a tube?
Apple TV Setup#
The first step upon returning home was to set up the Apple TV, using Infuse + Aliyun Drive to solve the issues of "having to subscribe to different memberships for different streaming platforms" + "sharing movies and TV shows with my parents while I'm not home" + "showing my parents some foreign works," etc.
In terms of movies, I created a collection of films that have won various awards like the Oscars, as well as movies from some famous directors both domestically and internationally. During the Spring Festival holiday, I also watched three movies with them on TV, and they have basically become familiar with using Infuse.
Regarding TV shows, the difficulty lies in the fact that I don't watch TV shows and don't know what to recommend that would suit them. However, fortunately, one show might keep them occupied for a month.
For screen mirroring, I haven't researched it yet, so my dad still uses the screen mirroring feature of the Xiaomi TV while watching Bilibili. But that's enough for now; I'll look into how to mirror to the Apple TV later.
In terms of music, they previously complained that many songs on QQ Music require a subscription to listen. Now that I've subscribed to Apple One, I directly taught them how to use Apple Music. I logged into my App Store account on the abandoned iPad in the living room. They can select songs on the iPad and send them to the Xiaomi speaker (the sound quality of the Xiaomi TV is worse than that of the Xiaomi speaker, so I didn't project it onto the TV~~).
Regarding IPTV, the IPTV source is still not stable enough and has poor practicality. On New Year's Eve, the IPTV source couldn't even play CCTV3, so we ended up using the Central Video app. I'll solve that when I have time.
(Watching "Dreaming of Becoming a Magical Girl" in the living room at home, there's still some psychological pressure)

Wildlife Park#
During the Spring Festival, I went to Chimelong and saw this 🐨, which really resembles the troublemaker cat from "Beastars," especially those dead fish eyes. So I brought it home.
The hardest part of the process was enduring my parents' disdainful looks after I bought it. They even teased, "You've got a girlfriend now; you should bring her home next time."

There were so many people; I will never think about traveling during such public holidays again. It felt like half the park was in line. If I want to go, I'll choose a weekday. Achieving freedom on the cable car and the little train should be a +++ experience.

Other Brief Notes#
- Illness: I mistakenly judged that I had the flu, bought flu medicine directly, and didn't see a doctor. As a result, it lasted a long time; I had a fever for 2 days, a runny nose for 2 days, and then I coughed for 20 days. I only went to see a doctor this week, and it turned out to be bronchitis.
- Wanting to write a Q&A bot based on RAG: I planned to first create a function for searching historical word vectors in TG, but in the end, I only created an issue.
- Trying to do some cutting, but many didn't succeed: After fiddling with neovim for a while, I reverted back to vscode. I deleted Arc, but after using Safari for a while, I reinstalled Arc. However, I did have some successes; I recounted my commonly used items and drafted Person X Community X Object - v0.1.0 - niracler.
- Unexpected disaster: Due to some force majeure event, my Twitter and Telegram accounts are gone. Everyone should pay attention to privacy and security; don't use real names online.

What Did I Watch? or What Did I Use?#
The progress of the software should be considered my familiarity with the software.
Work & Product Name | Medium | Progress | Rating | Complaints |
---|---|---|---|---|
Practical Vim Tips | Book | 30% | 8 | The book is good. However, I've only learned a little, like copy-pasting, selecting, and searching. In the end, I still gave up; vscode + obsidian is much smoother. |
Tang Poetry: The Cambrian Period | Book | 100% | 8 | It's easy to read, even giving a feeling of savoring a martial arts novel. |
Winter Rhapsody | Game | 85% | 8 | I can only say that pixel art as a carrier for lewd content is quite good (🤦). Compared to the repetitive themes and tasks of the previous work, this one has more mini-games and is a bit easier. However, I seem to have encountered a bug; according to the fortune teller's guide, I can't find the park's hat and the subsequent sunglasses. |
New Urusei Yatsura | Anime | 80% | 8 | I was looking for something to watch while eating, so I clicked on it and accidentally watched 12 episodes in one night. Lum is so cute. It turns out that the struggle between the heavenly beings and childhood friends existed as early as the 1980s. I found that when I previously watched "Haiyore! Nyaruko!!!", I thought the characters were all silly and lost interest after two episodes. I preferred works that are deep and tragic, where the protagonist suffers greatly. I like works that emphasize depth and sharpness, such as "Steins;Gate" and "Puella Magi Madoka Magica." But after getting older (or rather, after my chuunibyou phase passed), I feel that such light-hearted and enjoyable works suit me better. |
Crossing the Blade of Life: A Guide to Jin Yong's Female Characters | Book | 80% | 7 | I've read the reviews of the female characters in Jin Yong's works. When reviewing Huang Rong, it was mentioned that "because she is too smart, she constantly raises the standards for those around her, demanding others to be better, faster, and stronger; and because she is too smart, she can't stand the dullness of those around her, having no patience to communicate with these fools, and is never satisfied with what they do." Although I'm not a smart person, I have also made this mistake 🤡 |
Honkai: Star Rail 2.0 Main Story | Game | 100% | 8 | The story presentation is great. Hanabi is so low-key that I feel compelled to pull for her. However, if they release the robin, I will definitely pull for her too~~ |
Chronicles of Chinese Games | Documentary | 100% | 4 | It reminded me of Gil Amelio's infamous quote: "There's a hole in the boat, and my job is to make sure everyone rows in the same direction." No wonder there are only three episodes; it seems to avoid heavy topics and only discusses the slightly better side. Why has only mobile gaming developed, and in such a distorted shape? These questions weren't even mentioned. |
Shumatsu no Harem Fantasia | Manga | 100% | 7 | Much better than the original in terms of sensory experience, both in plot and story background. However, after the childhood friend dies (not really), the sensory experience plummets after the second male lead appears. I want to skip whenever it's the second male lead's plot. (Otherwise, I could give it four stars; the original was the same, I couldn't get through it every time it updated~~). What’s interesting is that the anti-hero protagonist "almost always faces setbacks whenever things go smoothly." During the battle of crawling forces, the protagonist's various clever moves are like a hot knife through butter, then it turns into a one-on-three situation, which is quite interesting. The antagonistic forces are generally more intelligent than the protagonist, which seems to be the author's intention to show the protagonist's immature thoughts, as he is still too young. (I won't mention how he grows up and faces setbacks again later~). It might also be that I've seen too many overpowered protagonists in recent years, so this kind of plot feels like a refreshing change. However, after being almost surrounded by the army multiple times, the harem group still remains intact. PS. My favorite character is the big-eyed daughter of the turtle family; the drawing is quite strange, but it successfully attracted me. Plus, the defensive magic is so cool. |
Life of Pi | Movie | 100% | 10 | The brutal journey of Pi successfully left me with psychological shadows. Especially after reading online analyses of the possible third story, the metaphor of the island sent chills down my spine. If I didn't know this was a good movie and that Ang Lee is such a famous director, I might have thought at first, "This story is so fake, filled with various unreal dissonances," and then abandoned it. However, this sense of dissonance is intentionally created by the director to draw your attention, so that when the mystery is revealed, you feel enlightened. Last year, when I watched "The Matrix," I had a similar feeling; most of the dissonances in the early stages were explained later. (Except for the dissonance during the Minotaur segment, which hasn't been explained yet, causing a wave of people to abandon it. However, judging by the current plot direction, I expect an explanation this year.) |
Westworld Season 3 | TV Show | 100% | 7 | I haven't figured out how to review it yet. |
Amusing Ourselves to Death | Book | 100% | 9 | Is entertainment what stops us from thinking? |
The Cursed Lily 11 | Manga | 100% | 8 | Marking it before the anime concludes. Before reading the Golden Country chapter, I thought "The Cursed Lily" was quite average and bland. After all, both sides are almost all poker-faced, leading to no emotional fluctuations throughout my reading. It felt like, "With Lily here, what is there to worry about on this journey?" It's good; the plot is quite novel, and although it touches on the profound topic of lifespan theory, I can only give it an 8. However, after the Golden Country segment, I can confidently give "The Cursed Lily" a 10. The Golden Country's Marha reminds me of the awakeners in "Big Sword." I especially like the discussion on whether "different species can understand each other." After this chapter, I keep thinking, "Why hasn't it updated yet?" and repeatedly reread the earlier parts of the manga. That feeling is like discussing "whether I can understand the cat in my company," or "whether tigers and humans can coexist harmoniously," which is very interesting. |

The significance of the birth of X.509 is to serve browsers. When users visit a website, they know nothing except the domain name of that website. Therefore, they need to rely on the certificate chain to verify the legitimacy of the certificate. However, for apps, there is no such restriction; during the TLS handshake phase, it is enough to directly check whether the public key of the server certificate is a specific value. This way, MITM tools cannot bypass identity verification and thus cannot decrypt traffic.

When did I develop the habit of not wanting to think, especially when I internally believe that everything I think is wrong? The impact of this realization has been quite significant.
